[SG] Christmas Wonderland @ Garden's By The Bay

Started our trip with a photo opportunity with Jub Jub! It was free and they will send you the photo via email. *Do check your spam folder for the photo.

In a bunch of Christmas trees with lights that almost blinded us!!

The Palace which we didn't visit. There's a ice skating ring and a snow playground inside which are not included with the admission ticket.

Main purpose here for K was the carnival games. Lucky us because we spent $30 and managed to brought home some toys. :)

"Snow" would start to fall once the lights are all lighted. Can't wait to see real snow!

New addition for the night!

It's definitely impossible to get a shot without people around you, really wanna thank the guy who helped us with the photo!

[SG] Chicken Up Tampines

Visited Chicken Up on a Saturday evening for dinner as we bought a deal on Groupon where 4 piece of chicken was only $7! Flavors that were available are Ganjang & Yangnyum. I preferred Yangnyum which was sweet and slightly spicy while K preferred the Ganjang that was on the saltier side. Both flavors of the chicken was well marinated and was hot and crispy when served. Plastic gloves were provided so no dirty fingers!

Their Ssoya Cheese rice was the disappointment of the night. Paying $12.90 for it was definitely not worth it. The Cheese was so dry and it does not melt into the rice and ingredients (sausages, carrots and mushrooms). The dish was so unflavored that we had to asked for additional Yangnyum sauce to go with it.

Only at $3.50 (they have promotion where there is a 50% off), their mini Pat bingsoo was surprisingly good! There was a scoop of vanilla ice-cream inside too. I would prefer to have my bingsoo without whipped cream but there was K to clear that for me.

[KR] Seoul Again - Day 6 & 7

Jjimdak in a restaurant in Hongdae. Pardon the lighting because we were in a room with green lights.

Cheesy fried chicken

Visited the Trick Eye Museum which was full of photo opportunities but i felt that it was a one-time experience kind of thing. The ticket came with a free visit to the Ice museum too.

*Trick Eye Museum: 20, Hongik-ro 3-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

I don't know who's  this random ahjussi but he came up to me and asked for a photo together?!?!

Featuring a small game area too

Ice Museum which was really COLD!

Had our tea-break at the Hello Kitty Cafe. Food was horrible!

*Hello Kity Cafe: 364-14, Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Korea

Sweet Monster to make up for the previous disaster. Soft serve was on point, very smooth. Popcorn was crunchy too!

Our last dinner in Seoul @ James Cheese Back Ribs. We had to wait for around 20 mins during dinner hour. My mum commented that this was her favorite meal of all. More info here!

Arranged a car ride with our host to send us to the airport in the wee hours to catch our flight and this concludes our Seoul trip. Can't wait to be back to explore more places and share my experiences on Seoul again!

[KR] Seoul Again - Day 5

Visited the Nam Dae Mun market early in the morning! A pity that it was pouring and we had to hold our umbrella around. Alternatively, you can purrchase an umbrella for 2000 won too, alot of shops are selling them!

*Nam dae mun: 21, Namdaemunsijang 4-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul

Alot of street food along the way. Featuring the Red bean bun which was literally smoking hot!

Dumplings~

Hotteok which we didnt like. Maybe we bought from a wrong store because it was really oily?

Lunch at Myeong dong's Bon juk. Huge serving of porridge which is more suitable for 2. They had this "rule" whereby each person have to order a portion of porridge each, no sharing allowed. Nobody could finish their serving and we wasted quite alot of porridge. Not reccomended!

*Bon juk: 21, Namdaemunsijang 4-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul

Milky bee for dessert after some shopping! A+ for their appearance but tastewise was just average.

*Milky bee: 11, Myeongdong 8ga-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul 04536, South Korea

Left the family and embarked on a solo adventure to watch Music Bank! I was so elated when i manged to get tickets from KTO. The journey was tough since i didn't know my way there and i didn't have internet connection so i depended on the kind locals on telling me how to walk there.

Sneaked shot of F(X) and the MCs - Park Bo Guem & Irene

The benefit of getting tickets from KTO was that after the programme, we had a chance to take group photo with the artiste! With Twice - The only group i knew among all the artiste we took group pictures with.

Walked to the train station with the help of 2 fellow Singaporeans who got the tickets through KTO too. Bought this choco pie from the GS25 in the station to munch on, on the journey back home. Favorite thing to do in Korea is to eat on the train since we don't have the luxury to do so in Singapore!

[KR] Seoul Again - Day 4

Army stew to start our day. Just a random shop we visit in Ewha. Nothing tremendous about it!

Brought my family to Juno Hair to pamper ourselves. More info on Juno Hair here!

Must eat in Ewha!

Pat bing soo @ Sulbing for tea-break. The red bean was so sweet and fresh, it was the best i ever had!

Potato stew in a random shop around our airbnb! IT WAS SO GOOD! They had some seaweed side dish which goes absolutely well with the potato/rice!

Ended the day by going to the Lotte Market which was just across the road opposite our airbnb!

[KR] Seoul Again - Day 3

Starting our day right with a hearty meal at a Chinese restaurant near our airbnb! Portion are huge, we shared among 5 people and we barely finished it.

The shop where we had our Chinese food.

First itinerary for the day is Namsan Tower.

*Namsan Tower: 105, Namsangongwon-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul

Love the stroll from the bus stop till the tower. The scenery is amazing!

* flips my hair *

It was a pity that during our visit, there happen to be some water leakage where we were not allowed to go up to the place where the locks are placed. So we couldn't enjoy the full view of Seoul.
I watched alot of dramas where the leads would always order "Ice Americano" and decided to try for myself in Korea. Only then i realised it was just black coffee!

Next up was Namsangol Hanok Village where we get to try hanbok for a fee of 5000 won! There is a lady there who would help you with your outfit and photo taking with no additional fee.

*Namsangol Hanok: 04626  28, Toegye-ro 34-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul

*inserts emo caption*

We went there for the hanbok experience since we were around the corner. The village was pretty much boring imo!

Wanted to visit Gyeongbokgung palace but we were too late! Do check on the admission time to avoid disappointments! So we settled for Tosokchon Samgyetang! One black and white chicken  and a kimchi pancake (not in picture) to share. Despite the raves, i really dislike how it tasted? Feels like those chinese medicine taste to me. My mum commented they had the best Kimchi in all the places we visited though!

*Tosokchon Samgyetang: 5, Jahamun-ro 5-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul

Dessert at O´sulloc Tea House before walking around Ssamziegil! We bought the green-tea spread home too. Unfortunately, i felt that it was overly sweet though. Can't deny that it's good but i felt really ger-lat after afew bites.

*O´sulloc Tea House: 170 Gwanhun-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Our last itinerary for the day was the Cheonggyecheon Stream. During our visit, they had a lantern festival event where the different kinds of lantern fills up the certain part of the stream. It felt like a Chingay parade but on the stream! The area was really crowded with many others strolling too.
