[KR] Seoul Again - Day 2

Starting the day with a long train ride all the way to Gimyujeong station, where we will be going to the Gangchon Rail Park.

* Gangchon Rail Park: 1383, Gimyujeong-ro, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do

We made our booking through Funtastic Korea which was fuss free! Just be on time and collect your tickets at the counter. You'll definitely see it upon reaching the area. There are timings that can be chosen for your ride and my tip is to book the earlier ones so that you have time for other attractions around the area too (eg, Nami Island, The Garden of Morning Calm)

We have to queue up according to 2-seater or 4-seater ride. They will briefly explain what you should and should not do during the ride. However, all instructions are in Korean.

We didn't need to cycle all the way as the rails has some mechanics where they will just push you through the ride!

Definitely a must go if you are visiting Nami Island and Petite France on the same day!

Reached a rest stop after being on the bike for about 35-40mins and they have a designated bus to send you back!

Took a stroll to Gangchon station where we took a train to Gapyeong Station to visit Nami Island!

Must have in Chuncheon is their Dakgalbi! The best i ever ate. Especially the fried rice where they will fry after the meal. Always order their rice!

There's a free ferry service where it will send you in to Nami Island!

* Nami Island: 1, Namisum-gil, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do

Honestly, Nami Island is a touch and go place. Nothing much to see except trees! If i do visit again, i would love to cycle around and have a picnic there.

We bought tickets for the shuttle bus service where they send you around the tourist attractions nearby. 5000 won for unlimited rides and therefore saving quite a bit of money and time. More info here!

*Petite France: 1063, Hoban-ro, Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do

We took a short break at a cafe inside Petite France.

Tea-break which was really meh.

Took a long train ride to Hongdae for BBQ dinner! The famed "stone" bbq! (Salivating as i'm typing this post at 11.30PM) The best thing about eating bbq in Korea is that the ahjummas or ahjusshis will help you with cooking the meat, so it doesn't go too cooked or uncooked! Directions here!

No other words needed.

We shared a chocolate churros from Churros 101 among ourselves since we were filled to the brim for dinner. The chocolate actually stained our jackets as we weren't careful while eating because the chocolate bursts with every bite!

*Churros 101: 128, Eoulmadang-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul 04055

[KR] Seoul Again - Day 1

One year late on my trip to Seoul but i guess, better than never?!

Travel period: 9 Nov - 15 Nov 2015
Airline: Cathay Pacific (To: 1 stopover in Hong Kong, Fro: 1 stopover in Hong Kong and 1 stop over in Taipei)
Cost: about $550

It was a midnight flight, so we only had snacks for flight meal! It was a really good timing to nap but i don't know why i didn't catch a wink at all.
Hong Kong style breakfast at the Hong Kong airport but all i can remember is that the food was bad, really bad.

It was my sister's birthday on the 9 Nov and she specially made a call to Cathay (Yes, herself) so that she could get a cake on board. By the way, the cake cost more than $50, it was not complimentary!

Finally reached Incheon airport after our flights and i brought my family to take the AREX train to our AIRBNB which was situated near Seoul Station. Just realized i don't have any photos of the apartment but it does looks exact to pics!

Our first stop after checking-in to our Airbnb was the Express Bus Terminal! Cured our grumbling stomach at Cheong-Nyun Tteokbokki before starting on our shopping adventures!

*Express Bus Terminal: *Express Bus Terminal station, Exit 8

Line Friends Cafe & Store was up next.

*Line Friends Cafe & Store: 535-15, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu Seoul

I was really excited to try LOBSTER SHACK but by the time we reached, they were sold out! So do visit early if you wish to try.

We chanced upon this random fried chicken shop (I'll update again if i ever find out what is this place called) and we decided to try since we were all famished. No regrets totally because it was super delicious! Flavored Sojus are also worth a try because it does not have that yucky taste flavorless soju has.

Ended our night in our apartment by surprising my sister with a cake we got the host to buy for us!
