[KR] Seoul - Day 6

Day 6 is the day I started feeling really sick. Probably too much screaming and the KFC lunch from the previous day which caused me to be down with a bad flu and sore throat. Worst thing that could ever happen when you are on holidays..... to be sick during the trip. Nonetheless, I still managed to force food down my throat no matter how much pain I felt. Haha.

First location of the day - Bukchon Hanok Village

It's basically a place where there are lots of traditional houses! What we do is, we walking around their neighbourhood and take lots of photos! For my next trip, I would want to experience staying in a hanok! Note: LOTS of walking to do.

Bukchon Hanok Village
Address:
37, Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul

Directions:
Anguk Station (Seoul Subway Line 3), Exit 2.
- Go straight for about 300m to arrive at Bukchon Hanok Village.

(Via KTO)

Lunch was at Bukchon Son Mandu. We saw this shop from the map given out and decided to try it! The shop is small and is always packed with people! Pork dumpling was good! Sadly, as Y and I wasn't feeling well, we didn't order fried dumpling to try. Noodle soup was not bad as well but I couldn't finish the bowl due to it's huge portion!

There was 8 photo spots to visit in the village. We only managed to visit 3-4 spots since we were all tired from walking and sweating. #pantstootight

Left the village after an hour and cabbed to Myeong Dong for shopping!

This "longest" ice-cream was the only food I ate in Myeong Dong. The rest of the time was shopping, shopping and MORE SHOPPING! We shopped till the skies turned dark, with emptied bellies and hands full of cosmetics!

Thought of the day: A day in Myeong Dong is NOT ENOUGH.

Cabbed back to our apartment, dropped our loots and head out again to have our dinner! We went to a different Korean BBQ restaurant at the same street from the previous day!

Food was good as usual! Nothing seem to be able to go wrong with meat!

[KR] Seoul - Day 5

The whole of day 5 was spent in Everland! Even though we spent the whole day there, time didn't seem to be enough for us to cover all the rides! The amusement park is so huge that we actually spend most of the time walking around!

Gimbap for breakfast. It is bought from a shop inside the train station. I love how we are allowed to eat freely in the trains. This is something that can't be done in Singapore, sadly!

The distance between Hongdae to Everland is not near. We had to take a train and switch 2 buses before we could reach Everland. The whole journey took about 1.5 hours.

Everland
Address:
199, Everland-ro, Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do

Directions:
Gangnam Station (line 2, Sinbundang) Exit 10
Take bus 5002
Take the shuttle bus to Everland

(Via KTO)

TIP: When you see bus 5002 approaching, rush to the bus so that you can get a seat as you will be on the bus for at least 45 minutes. Luckily, the bus stopped right in front of us, so we all have a seat!

Always check Everland's website before heading to Everland. They always have promotions for tourists. Their promotions are even better their KTO's/BNBHERO's coupon promotion. As it was the rose festival, tourist with any item that is red will have their ticket at 30% off original price!

First ride of the day, T-EXPRESS. I swear I was really scared while queueing (I had constant urge to pee). I guess it was our lucky day as we managed to take the first ride of the day! The waiting time (about 15-20 minutes on average) for rides in Everland isn't as bad as the waiting time in USS!

Miss the time when Singapore has these mini melts too! Am I the only one who remembers this???

Took the safari bus and we went on an "adventure". The animals are free to roam around in this area and they were seen crossing paths with our vehicle with no fear!

A sky-ride inside the amusement park. That's how big the park is!

Took this crazy ride as well! #proud

Finally managed to take group shots with the help of strangers and staffs in Everland. We actually asked different people to help us with our photo because having one person taking multiple photos of us is embarrassing. Haha.

Caught Big Bang and 2NE1's hologram concert and it blew my mind. Especially Big Bang's. The effects were so real that we thought Big Bang was really performing right in front of us. The power of technology... is DAEBAK!

Last ride of the day - Pirate ship - This made everyone uncomfortable, the want-to-puke feeling which SUCKS. T_T

Took bus 5002 back to Gangnam and cabbed back to Hongdae. Cabbing around is actually an cheaper alternative if you are in a group of 4. Glad that we did not meet any difficult drivers during our trip!

Had our first Korean BBQ of the trip for our dinner at almost 12AM!

Meat ordering in BBQ shops are in portions. I think this was 2 or 3 portion. May look little but it managed to feed all 4 of us!

Spammed pictures at the photo-booth since there was not much people!

There's actually nothing much to buy as the price are pretty steep! However, there are some cheap steals you can get on the 3rd floor!

Lunch was at James cheese back ribs! One of my favourite meals in Seoul. A meal that can't be found in Singapore. The ahjusshi there will help to cook the cheese and wrap it on the pork ribs for you. You just have to call him when you want your next serving! Cheese + Ribs = Perfect We also ordered rice where it will be cooked after you finish your ribs!

James Cheese Back Ribs (MUST TRY*)
Address:
26, Yanghwa-ro 16-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul

After lunch dessert was Sweetruck! We found it along the way to the train station. Its near Hongik University station exit 9. No exact address because I can't find it online as well!

My thoughts: Ice cream was good but not the honeycomb. Maybe I'm just not a fan on honey! :/

Shopping for the day is at Express Bus Terminal aka Go-To Mall! It's an underground shopping centre that is linked to the subway. Huge long stretch of shops. Not only does it sell clothes, there are many other stuff like plants, furniture as well.

Express Bus Terminal/Go-To Mall
Directions:
Express Bus Terminal station, Exit 8

(Via KTO)

After shopping, we cabbed to Gangnam. We were looking for toilet and was told that there's a toilet at Mango Six which we ended up having desserts. Yes, AGAIN! (Mango Six is just opposite line store*)

After our dessert we went to the Line Friends Cafe & Store! Almost could not resist and bought the whole shop down! :P

Line Friends Cafe & Store
Address:
535-15, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

There's a queue at the entrance for photo with Brown! Nothing will stop me from snapping a photo with him! *Grins*

Last stop for the day is at Gaepan! It's a shop owned by Lee Min Woo of Shinhwa. Yes, my favourite OPPA if you don't already know!!! It was a really chill place, food was a bit expensive in my opinion but it might be because of the area that its located in. I would still come back in hopes to bump into my OPPA!!
